Patient Advocacy Program

The Patient Advocacy Program was developed in June 2009 to meet the intersecting needs of the community and the MVNHC Network.

Patient Advocacy addresses the need for reliable, trained staff to enhance patient care and provide a substantive medical and community-based experience for a diverse patient population.

  • Help you access health care, and navigate through the various services provided at MVNHC.
  • Work collaboratively with health care providers to promote the optimal delivery of health care, and advocate for continuity of care.
  • Provide you with an interpreter in your language to facilitate communication between you and your medical provider for a better health outcome.
  • Connect you with resources available in the community.
  • Show you what choices you have in selecting the services you need.
  • Put you in touch with the people in the services that can help address your health care needs.
  • Aid you in meeting the requirements of your treatment.
  • Give you the opportunity to express your concerns and the way you want your treatment to benefit you and your family including documenting complaints
  • Work with you in getting the answers to your questions during the term of your treatment.
  • Be at your side whenever you need help.
  • The Patient Advocacy Program is available to all MVNHC patients. We will make sure that you experience the best care in a compassionate and respectful way.
